To whom the privacy notice is addressed?
This Privacy Notice is addressed to individuals reporting and/or the subject of adverse events (also known as side effects) and/or product quality complaints concerning our products, requesting medical product information and those with product supply queries.
This Privacy Notice describes how we collect and use personal data to help us fulfil our pharmacovigilance, product quality complaint and medical information request obligations to monitor and ensure the safety and quality of all our medicinal products.
We may collect personal data directly from you (for example, where you contact us) or indirectly from third parties (for example, healthcare professionals, carers, family members, distributors or other organisations) who report information to us about an adverse event, product quality complaint, medical information request or product supply query.
Why do we collect and use personal data?
We are required by law to always have a “lawful basis” (i.e. a reason or justification) for processing personal data. We process personal data for the purposes and lawful bases below.

What personal data do we collect and use?
We collect and use the following categories of personal data:
Special category data. Some of the personal data we process for these purposes is “special category” data, in particular data concerning health (and, where relevant, ethnic origin). We only process special category data where necessary and where an appropriate Article 9 condition applies, as described above.
Where we obtain personal data from other sources. We may obtain personal data about patients from third parties such as healthcare professionals, carers, family members, distributors, or other organisations. Where required, we will provide this privacy information to the patient within the timeframes required by data protection law, unless an exemption applies.

Where we share information with regulators/health authorities or other pharmaceutical companies, those organisations may act as independent controllers of the personal data they receive.
International transfers
Your personal data may be transferred to countries or organisations outside the United Kingdom and European Union. In such instances, your personal data will be protected either by a UK adequacy regulation for the destination country or where there is no adequacy regulation in place, your personal data will be protected by the appropriate safeguards, including contractual clauses with organisations acting as joint controller or processor on behalf of Resolution, where applicable.
How long do we store personal data?
We will only store the above personal data for as long as we reasonably consider it necessary for achieving the purposes set out in this Privacy Notice and as required under applicable laws.
How do we protect your personal information?
We have implemented appropriate technical and organisational measures to provide an adequate level of security and confidentiality to your personal information.
The purpose thereof is to protect it against accidental or unlawful destruction or alteration, accidental loss, unauthorized disclosure or access and against other unlawful forms of processing.
Moreover, when handling your personal information, we only collect and process personal information which is adequate, relevant and not excessive, as required to meet the above purposes and ensure that your personal information remains up to date and accurate.

These rights are not absolute. In particular, where we must process personal data to comply with a legal obligation (for example, pharmacovigilance and safety reporting requirements), we may not be able to erase the data or stop processing it.
