To whom the privacy notice is addressed?

This Privacy Notice is addressed to individuals at suppliers from whom Resolution sources goods and services and customers that Resolution sells products to. This includes, for example:

• Third parties related to product manufacture, supply, transportation, storage and wholesale.
• IT, finance and legal service providers.

The purpose of this Privacy Notice is to clarify the way Resolution processes personal information of representatives and/or employees as contact persons (data subjects) of a third party or its subcontractor (who will be further referred in this Privacy Notice as “you”).

 

For which purposes do we use your personal information and why is this justified?

Legal basis for processing

We will not process your personal information if we do not have a proper justification foreseen in the law for that purpose. Therefore, we will only process your personal information if:

• the processing is necessary to perform our contractual obligations towards you or to take pre-contractual steps such as responding to requests for information.
• the processing is necessary to comply with our legal or regulatory obligations
• the processing is necessary for our legitimate interests and does not unduly affect your interests or fundamental rights and freedoms.

 

What personal information do we have about you?

This personal information may either be directly provided by you or provided by your third party (i.e. the legal entity you work for or on behalf of).

We may collect various types of personal information about you, including:

• Your general contact and identification information (name, email address, phone number)
• Your function (e.g. title, position and name of company)

 

Who has access to personal data?

Personal data may be accessed by or transferred to:

• Applicable Resolution personnel and consultants.
• Our independent agents or brokers (if any)
• Our other suppliers and service providers that provide services and products to us
• Our IT systems providers, cloud service providers, database providers and consultants
• Any third party to who we assign or novate any of our rights or obligations
• Our advisors and external lawyers

The above parties are contractually obliged to protect the confidentiality and security of your personal information, in compliance with applicable law.

 

International transfers

Your personal data may be transferred to countries or organisations outside the United Kingdom and European Union. In such instances, your personal data will be protected either by a UK adequacy regulation for the destination country or where there is no adequacy regulation in place, your personal data will be protected by the appropriate safeguards, including contractual clauses with organisations acting as joint controller or processor on behalf of Resolution, where applicable.

We will only store the above personal data for as long as we reasonably consider it necessary for achieving the purposes set out in this Privacy Notice and as required under applicable laws.

 

How do we protect your personal information?

We have implemented appropriate technical and organisational measures to provide an adequate level of security and confidentiality to your personal information.

The purpose thereof is to protect it against accidental or unlawful destruction or alteration, accidental loss, unauthorised disclosure or access and against other unlawful forms of processing.

Moreover, when handling your personal information, we only collect and process personal information which is adequate, relevant and not excessive, as required to meet the above purposes and ensure that your personal information remains up to date and accurate.
